Pandora - minimising to task bar

Post by rherber1 on Sat Jun 03, 2017 2:43 am

Hi Moderators,
After Pandora is launched and new email has been read, for example, and it is then minimised to the task bar, the Pandora icon appears on the task bar as usual when minimising any open program in Windows. But in Pandora's case all open mailboxes and any opened email will have their respective icons stacked behind the Pandora icon on the task bar. In order to bring Pandora back up to the screen simply clicking on the task bar icon does absolutely nothing. If the mouse is hovered over the icon then each of the opened mailboxes (eg. In, Out etc), will be indicated in a small window which can then be selected and clicked on. However, clicking on any of these windows also does absolutely nothing. Only when Pandora is minimised while an open email is in the preview window will clicking on this particular icon recall Pandora to the screen.

I then discovered that Pandora can be recalled by right clicking on the icon in the task bar so that a sub menu is displayed. Pandora is at the top of the menu and when this option is selected Pandora is reopened on the screen. This seems a crazy way of doing things imo.

In comparison minimising Eudora sends this program to the task bar and only a single icon is displayed there. A simple click on the icon will restore Eudora to the screen in the same condition it was in when minimised. There are no stacked windows representing any open mailboxes or opened email sitting behind the Eudora icon. That is how Pandora should work.

Is this type of operation planned or intended? If so, why?

Yes, when Taskbar buttons are combined, Windows will not bring Pandora to the foreground. The issue is reproduced, fix coming up with the next release.

Thank you!
